Human Trafficking

There are millions of young boys and girls all over the world being used for physical pleasures and services. There is a very good chance that this is even happening in your area. The victims are finally starting to get a little voice but there is so much more that needs to be done. The cruelty that these people have endured is unimaginable and it breaks God's heart immensely. I encourage you all to take some time and educate yourselves on this issue, and then PRAY. Pray for the victims safety, for their freedom, and ultimately that JUSTICE will prevail.

Libyan Revolution

For those who are unaware, Tripoli and Gaddafi's compound were just completely overtaken by rebel forces. Gaddafi however was not there. Though there is finally justice for the citizens they still have a long way to go before their country is completely turned around. There is no real government in place and there is a lot of damage from the fighting and such. So prayer for protection for the people, rebuilding of the country, and justice for the people.

Somalia Droughts and Famine

This is one of those situations where all you can do is really stop and pray. The people of Somalia are in a desperate situation. There is a natural drought and famine that is greatly intensified by the corruption and conflict surrounding them. In this present time we have more than enough food to feed everyone, unfortunately it can't get to everyone. God told us to take care of the widows and children, the ones that the world has pushed aside. So please pray to the one that is the ultimate provider and sustainer because their is nothing impossible for our God.

God of this City

Desolate Detroit - This city has probably been hit the hardest economically over recent years. What used to be bustling Motown is now abandoned, run-down buildings. Yet despite this desolate situation a hope and revival is being stirred within the people. Many believe that God wants to use Detroit as an example for his glory. He wants to show how he can bring his people out of the rubble when they turn back to him (like in Isaiah). Pray that the anticipation for revival grows in the hearts of the people and that we do not loose hope in the process.

South Korea Independence Day!

South Korea just celebrated their independence day on August 15th. It is truly amazing to see the ways God has worked in their country over the years. They are hoping now that they can live in peace with their neighbor North Korea. Praise God for what he has already done and pray that South Korea can inspire other Asian countries.

Joplin Missouri School Year

Students and teachers in Joplin Missouri are getting ready to start what could be a very rough school year. Makeshift classrooms, lost friendships and haunting memories are just a few of the things they will be facing. Though the situation will be rough, there is a hope and resilience that lingers in the community.
